Lee Min-ho Joins Campaign for Protecting Chile’s Environment

Korean actor Lee Min-ho has given a helping hand to protect the environment of Chile.

Lee’s agency Starhaus Entertainment said on Thursday that Lee recently accepted an offer to take a PR ambassador for Chile’s environmental campaign “Reforestemos Patagonia.”

“Reforestemos Patagonia” is the campaign to restore devastated forest in Chile’s Patagonia region from a forest fire in 2011, which once had world-renowned beautiful scenery and dense forest, enough to be designated as an ecologically protected area from UNESCO in 1978.

This March, members of Lee’s Chile fan club Minoz Chile donated hundreds of trees under the name of the “Boys over Flowers” star. Through this good deed, officials with “Reforestemos Patagonia” were set to contact with Lee to help promoting their campaign.

“It is we humans’ cooperative task to protect the environment,” said the 26-year-old star in the video greetings, “I feel proud for my fans who take the initiative in participating in the campaign.”
